Class & build come first
Before any slider, decide your class — D through X — and finish the build. In FH5 the performance index pushes you to balance power against grip, and where you land changes everything downstream. A high-power S2 build needs far stiffer springs and more careful differential settings than a nimble B-class road car. Lock your tires, drivetrain, and aspiration first, because every tuning value is calculated from the car's final weight and power.
What each FH5 setting does

- Tire pressure — lower for more grip and a bigger contact patch, higher for sharper response. Most builds live around 26–30 PSI on road, lower on dirt.
- Alignment — negative camber keeps the outside tire flat in corners; high caster adds stability for free; leave toe near zero unless solving a specific problem.
- Anti-roll bars — the safest balance tool. Stiffen the end you want to lose grip, soften the end you want to gain grip.
- Springs & ride height — scale springs to the weight on each axle; run as low as the surface allows without bottoming out.
- Damping — controls how fast the body settles. Stiffer for smooth roads, much softer for dirt and jumps.
- Differential — higher acceleration lock puts power down harder but can cause exit understeer; keep deceleration lock lower to let the car rotate.
