About DLTuning

DLTuning is a free, independent tool and learning resource for Forza players who want to understand car setups instead of blindly copying numbers off a leaderboard.

Why this exists

Tuning is one of the most rewarding parts of Forza, but it is also where most players give up. The in-game screens throw a wall of sliders at you with almost no explanation, and the "best" tunes shared online rarely tell you why they work. DLTuning was built to fix that. The generator gives you a sensible, math-based baseline for any car, and the accompanying tuning guide explains the reasoning behind every value so you can adjust with confidence.

How the generator works

When you enter your car's weight, horsepower, drivetrain, front weight distribution, tire widths, track type, and any handling problem, the tool runs a set of physics-informed rules to produce a complete starting setup — tire pressures, alignment, anti-roll bars, springs, damping, brakes, differential, and gearing. Spring rates, for example, are scaled to the actual weight on each axle, and the differential and gearing respond to your power and drivetrain. The output is intentionally a baseline: a strong, safe place to start before you test and fine-tune for your own driving style.

What it is not

DLTuning is not official software and is not affiliated with Microsoft, Xbox, Turn 10 Studios, or Playground Games. "Forza," "Forza Motorsport," and "Forza Horizon" are trademarks of Microsoft, used here only to describe what the tool helps with. We do not connect to your game, your account, or any Xbox service — everything runs locally in your browser.

Staying free

This site is free to use and does not require an account. It is supported by advertising, which lets the tool and guides stay available to everyone at no cost. If you find it useful, the best thing you can do is share it with a friend who is also tired of guessing at tunes.
